Christina O'Neill, DVM

Dr. O'Neill was born and raised in Illinois and obtained her bachelor's degree in Zoology while minoring in animal science at Western Illinois University. She then decided to pursue veterinary medicine and graduated from the University of Missouri in 2014. 

Starting off, Dr. O'Neill moved back to her hometown in Macomb, IL to practice small animal medicine for two years before moving back to the Columbia, MO area and working at Rolling Hills on Buttonwood.

After Horton Animal Hospital opened in February of 2021 she transitioned to emergency medicine.  She currently sees mostly emergencies with some general practice mixed in. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is surgery.

Dr. O'Neill shares her life with her son Noah and boxer Rosie at home in the Jefferson City area. She also gets to spend time with her nephew, sister and brother-in-law as the two cousins get a chance to grow up together living close by. They enjoy family dinners, traveling and hiking in their free time.
